We Got the Power!

Please join us for the We Got the Power event on Saturday, June 25th (rain date June 26) from 2:00PM to 6:00PM in Armory Park, 50 Westford Street.

This event, presented by the Lowell Community Health Center Teen Coalition, Lower Highlands Neighborhood Group, 119 Gallery and the Lowell Alliance for Families and Neighborhoods, is an event focusing on community healing through art.

The afternoon will feature original artwork, poetry, dance by ADAM Project and spoken word by FREE VERSE. This FREE event, produced by the youth of Lowell, presents their definitions of peace, love, courage, and unity for our City.

DJ Paul will spin music all afternoon as event-goers participate in the interactive activities throughout the Park including the peace pole, haiku, painting, etc. The Teen Coalition will offer refreshments at a nominal price to support their programming.

During the event, a “peace tree” will be planted in the Park to commemorate the neighborhood’s commitment to a safe and peaceful community and in support of Lowell’s Sustainability Week. The event will be a stop on the Citywide Biking Extravaganza.

We Got the Power is proudly sponsored by generous donations from the Coalition for a Better Acre, Representative Kevin Murphy, Enterprise Bank, Councilor Bill Martin and Simply Khmer.
